Boring Yard Update

I said in my last post that I’d post updates every day. Right. Do you really want updates on what is probably the least exciting home improvement project of all time (so far)?

Home improvement/maintenance projects that are more exciting than digging up weeds:

  1. Installing a new toilet (relatively VERY exciting)
  2. Stripping paint from interior brick
  3. Researching sump pumps and ejector pits
  4. Routing a clogged toilet (more disgusting yet the necessity of a functional toilet dictates home owners’ interest)

Home improvement/maintenance projects that are less exciting than digging up weeds:

  1. Filing paperwork that you don’t want to keep but you’re not sure you can recycle it
  2. Watching paint dry (Do people actually do this?)

Here’s what our back yard looked like after Day 2:

This is what I see when I close my eyes at night.

Here’s what our back yard looked like yesterday (AKA Day 3) after an hour and 15 minutes of weeding:

Can you even tell?  This spot gets the most shade so there weren’t that many weeds to begin with.  I figured I should start here in an effort to experience immediate gratification.

That’s all for now!

Thanks for reading and Have a Joyful Day!

If it’s all weeds and no salvageable grass, I’d spray the whole thing with Round Up. It will kill it all and you may be able to just rake up the dead, brown stuff. Happy digging!
