Moon Shine by R+Co How I Love It So

This is my unsolicited recommendation for R+Co’s Moon Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. I use both products regularly and enjoy them thoroughly. I have color “enhanced” blonde hair that is naturally wavy. Unfortunately for me, the wave has no rhyme or reason to it. It is not symmetrical, does not spiral in any sensical manner and is prone to frizz.

When I was in college in the 90’s (UGH) I had that awful “Rachel” haircut. I say awful because:

  1.  Every woman in the United States had it and
  2.  I didn’t have the resources to round brush my hair so I would let it air dry.

As one of my friends said, “Your hair looks like a Christmas tree!”

Awesome.

In all seriousness I recommend this line. The Girl That Does My Hair started to tell me R+Co is Vegan or something but I stopped listening because my hair looked so amazing. When I used it at home I noticed the difference immediately. My hair seemed easier to dry (I think because it was smoother?).

The best part: I discovered that while some smoothing shampoos and conditioners work for a short while they also tend to build up and my hair doesn’t feel clean. Not the case with Moon Shine.

An embarrassing/irresponsible fact:  I don’t know how much these products cost. I purchased them when I had my hair done so the price of the product and the service were all lumped together. Are you judging me? Because I’m feeling really judged right now.

Not really. I don’t care. I love my R+Co!  Just don’t tell Mr. FIH. That sexy beast lets his wife cut his hair.

By the way, if you’re wondering, “Who does your hair?!” It’s Emily at MacDaddy Salon just outside of Chicago (Forest Park on Madison). Emily is an expert stylist and quite the savant when it comes to hair color. Check out her Instagram. I’ll introduce you to her soon.

You’re the best! Thanks for reading!

Reconcile Your Style,
